In Summer Ball a young boy named Danny Walker is a very talented  basketball and has the talent to do great things. When Danny attends Josh Cameron's Right Way basketball camp in Maine everybody is taller than him and he is being pushed to his limits to succeed , but falls short every time. When Danny meets an old rival named Rasheed from last years championship game where Danny won Rasheed begins to pick on Danny. Rasheed has a lot of hate for Danny because Danny's team beat Rasheed's last year in the championship game and ruined Rasheeds last chance at winning the title in that division because Rasheed will become a freshman next year.

Instead of Danny being housed with his friends he is bunked with younger kids and blames his size for it. When Danny meets the Kobe Bryant wannabe Lamar Parrish, Lamar starts to pick on him and has the skills to go along with it.  Danny has always been picked on about  his height but here at camp it is going too far. When Danny gets the chance to prove himself by making the winning shot in an exhibition game he comes up just inches short when air balling an open jumper from the free-throw line. Danny started practicing 24/7 to get it right and is given a big chance to make the simplest play to win the game by keeping the best scorer on the other team from hitting the winning shot , but when Danny steps back to get some space incase the other player drove in on him the opponent stepped back and hit the jumper costing the game for Danny's team.

​The championship game is just around the corner and Danny and Rasheed's team and Lamar's team are almost guaranteed a spot in the championship game. Both teams have been phenomenal and are getting noticed by a lot of other coaches and players around the league. When the championship game comes the butterfly's are in everybody's stomach, but the game comes down to the wire , but for the second year in a row Danny's team has came out on top and he has another championship under his belt.
