A short paragraph about my views of the theme in this story.

In Summer Ball the theme is never give up on yourself. I think this is the theme because Danny Walker a young teenager goes to a basketball camp and is the smallest kid there. Danny thinks he is the best, but come to find out there is one other kid that keeps outdoing him. When Danny try’s to beat Rasheed (the young boy who keeps outdoing Danny) he fails miserably. At the very end in the championship game Danny has the chance to win the game for his team and finally beat Rasheed and Danny succeeds he finally feels like he has done what he was set out to do the first day he stepped foot on camp..
